Anyone used the Behringer Destroyer PRO FBQ2496 in their system? What did you think of it, did it improve the bass response enough to warrant it's purchase? Thanks & Merry Christmas!!

Hey 001, Merry Christmas to you also.

I have a BFD and am very happy with the results. I bought mine used here on the forum so the price was right :). Mine tamed some very nasty peaks in my room and I enjoy the "new sound" from my sub. Others here aren't believers so take this for what its worth. Plus you get to spend alot of geek time graphing and such :p

Cool. How can I determine if a BFD will be beneficial for my particular situation or should I assume that nearly everyone could benefit?

You can only benefit from the BFD if you have peaks in the frequency response that you want to cut, or if you want to change the response curve by adding something like a house curve.

I use the BFD 1124DSP not the pro.

Get a radio shack meter and plot your bass curve with just your sub. If you look at it and see some peaks you would like to tame, give the BFD a shot. I love mine and it was well worth my purchase price.
