I am just setting up my HT room, utilizing my new out of the box RM6900's :). I am driving these with a yamaha RXV1500 amp, which is THX certified and has a wide range of crossover settings. My problem is I didnt wire the room as per the "polk" way, only the traditional way. Does anyone know if the LFE input on the RM6900 sub has filters, or is it unfiltered?? Has anyone hooked up the 6900 the traditional way?? Any help with crossover settings and such would greatly be appreciated

Thanks in advance

James

I'm a new guy myself. The more experienced guys have discussed this stuff at length on older threads. I encourage you to read the old stuff about setting up systems 'cause there's a lot of good information there. My guess is that if the sub has an LFE input and crossover settings, then the filter on the LFE is probably what is being controlled by the crossover.

The RXV1500 has auto configuration. If it is anything like the auto configuration on my Onkyo SR603, it will set the crossover for you (mine is at 120 for RM6800s)

I know that there are a few threads that come close to answering my questions, but I couldnt find any that dealt specifically with the RM6900 series sub. On a side note, I also have a set of rt1000i's that I was contemplating using as the fronts instead of the satellites....decisions, decisions.
