Hello,
I recently saw this movie and it has some exceptional sound effects. The story is about a group of women who work in a brothel (some scenes not for young children) in an ancient Japanese village near the ocean. The story was written by the late Kurosawa and directed by Kei Kuwai, using the master's production notes. Near the end of the movie there's a tremendous storm and the village is destroyed. Unbelievable bass information and terrific surround sound effects. Definitely had the SurroundBar working overtime. Great story, beautiful cinematography and superb sound recording job. Keep an eye on the volume control!
Ken
