First thing, switch the comps over to the sub amp and see if they work ok on that. If so, then your amp is screwed up.

After that, try switching the pre-outs on your head unit and see if the problem reverses.

Try these and let us know what happened.

OK. Well if when you turn up the volume the sub gets louder but the speakers stay the same and are very faint there are only a couple things that can be wrong.

1- The speakers could be shot
2- The amp could be shot
3- The head unit could be shot.
4- You could have a short somewhere in the wiring.

Switching the components over to the sub amp will be the easiest way to tell. If they still dont work then its either the speakers or the wiring.

Do you have a discman, or mp3 player? When I wired up my 5 channel amp 3 years ago, I used a 1/8" plug to rca and tested my amp like that. That might be a suggestion to eliminate something.

Man it could be a number of things you have to do process of elimination. If i had to guess i would say something has happened to the 4 channel amp. Since you said the sub amp is working fine i don't see where the headunit would be causing a problem. I have seen a bad ground cause that before. Check and make sure you have a good ground going to the amp and that the connection is tight. I would also make sure my connection's where good and snug on the female and male ends on the speakers. You will be surprised they can be losing connection sometimes if they don't have a tight fit on the ends.

It's a shame you are still having a problem w/ this.

If I were near you I would give you a hand.

well 5months later i finally had a weekend that was "good" as far as weather goes and a free spot in my schedule to get it out of my back seat, the process takes about an hour and a half to do, because its hidden and the seats have to come out, lol. anyways the crap part is that I checked my receipt from my order and I ordered it on may 11 2005, so technically warranty is over =\ I called up and they said to send it in anyway, but they didnt tell me if they'd fix it or not.

btw it was my amp, the 300.2
