Merry Christmas to me :D Seriously, just arrived after a small delay waiting for one with the black front. I temporarily hooked it up until I can reorganize the equipment and shelves. Wow, only about 2 hours on it so far, and with the Magnepan 1.6QR's it's pretty amazing! I have it hooked up so I can A/B as close as possible with my Cambridge Audio Azur 640C. Very nice improvement in soundstage, width, depth, and brings it much further forward. SQ is fantastic! I can't wait until it's actually broken in! One thing it has made me realize is that if the Jolida is rated very highly, then the Cambridge Audio Azur 640C is very good for the money.

Congrats on your new CDP. If it has the stock Chinese tubes in it, roll some others. They will take the sound quality up a few notches.

And Spearit Sound currently has the 640C on sale for $379.

Also the matching 640A integrated for the same price.

Been there, so I know how you feel. I upgraded from the Cambridge Audio 640C to a tube CD player. Awesome. I'm sure you're enjoying it, especially with those Maggies.

Yep, I'm looking forward to a day of listening to music while I wrap Christmas presents on Friday! The stock tubes sound really good. I haven't attempted to take the top off and check out what they are. I wanted to make sure it was working and give it a few hours to see if anything went wrong prior to opening it up. I'm not sure how picky they are on that as far as warranty is concerned. I did order a couple of different tubes that were recommended in the posts about this CDP. I also need to do some serious reorganization of the audio and HT equipment so it's easier to get to the Jolida to swap tubes.

If it's a new unit, it'll sound even better once you swap out the tubes.
