A friend told me somebody is selling a pair of RT55 and a CS245 for $250. Is this a good price? Is the RT55 comparable to Monitor 10?

$250

The RT55 is an oversized bookshelf. Not really comparable to the Monitor 10. Still its a good speaker and the price you mentioned is a good deal for all 3 speakers.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

    I would go for it.
If they are in good shape.

RT55s are $200-250 CS245 are $100-125 in good shape on auction sites.

Personally, I prefer the 55s to the Monitor 10. The 10 digs a little deeper, but has phase issues that are audible to me. The 55s do just about everything well. They are the encyclopedia version of a bookshelf. :D
