Need a quick question answered urgently regarding an SVS sub?

Hello, I finally broke down and ordered an SVS PB12 PLUS/2. Is this sub video shielded? I went to their site, but there is no mention of it. I even downloaded the manual online, but could not find any info. The sub will be placed about 1 to the side of my TV, so I need to know if it is video shielded?

I do not know if it is shielded but I would not put that sub that close to the TV. My Samsung picture has died and been serviced three times and each time it went out it was (suspiciously) after doing sub calibrations and demo DVD tests (loudly). My SVS PB12 Ultra/2 is about 5 feet(ish) from my set. Granted, I think the Samsung is a piece of crap and this should not happen ( a refund or replacement is pending with Samsung) but I would not test it.

I think it is impractical, if not impossible, to shield such a large magnet. ;)

My sub is pretty close to my TV.. no issues...

    You'll just have to see...

But no it is not shielded...

Im not sure what kinda tv you have, but if its a LCD, Plasma or DLP tv you dont have to worry about shielding anyways. Not 100% sure on the DLP since it shoots a beam onto mirrors, but pretty sure.

I have a Sony 36 inch XBR tube HDTV. THe sub will acutally be about 2 feet away from teh TV. Do you all think that it will be OK? With the size of the room that I have, I do not have that much flexibility.
