Using the Zone 2 preamp out for the sub connection

Before buying my Lsi9’s I had my 404 sub set-up using the Polk method of looping from the AVR speaker level out, to the sub, and then back to the front speakers. I now have my Lsi9’s bi-wired directly to my Adcom amp and my sub connected to the Yamaha sub-out, which is filtered at 90 Hz. I don’t like it as much as the previous speaker line connection. The Yamaha has a zone 2 preamp out which allows signal to be sent to a second room / area. If I use a Y splitter and connect my sub RCA cable to this zone 2 preamp out, and another Y splitter to the sub unfiltered input, will I get the same sound I previously had with the speaker level connection?
