Alpine CDA-9856 New 06 Model

This is a decent looking deck coming out by alpine the first of the year. From what i can gather the newest technology in the decks this year is going to be the ipod. You know you generally have to buy the interface adapter for the ipod in order to play the music on the decks right. Well now there doing away with the box and it's going to be built into the deck. All you have to do is connect the cable to the headunit and then to the ipod no more box's thanks to alpine. They also say looking for songs will be super fast this year twice as fast as last year. That was most people's complaint last year it's takes to long to go through songs and album's. This unit also will have HD radio built into it. Here is a pic of what it looks like.

    It doesn't take that long to go through the songs this year. I can't imagine this one...

    Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

    Head units are just getting too smart. I remember I had a Pioneer once that played CD's. Thats it. No radio, no EQ, no crossover, no nav, no MP3's. Just treble, bass and track controls. Thats my kind of head unit.

    No, I just thought that was funny because Alpine shows all kinds of cool **** in January (at CES) every year and you have to wait until May or June before lots of it is available.
