He got caught speeding on his way home from steveinaz's place after their little get together a few weeks ago. Considering he had alcohol on his breath, driving school isn't too bad.

it's better than seeing your car insurance premium go up, imo. It's a day of admiring how diverse traffic offenders are.

btw, Phoenix and its surrounding areas are one of those city that I would drive like a gramp. LE are hiding in most corners, and speed limits are enforced to the T (anything over 10mph will get you a ticket, in most cases) Having said that, I don't see too many cops in Tucson, or may be it was because of summertime when I was there, and indeed, it was extremely hot.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

wasn't an officer from tucson. got me doin' twelve over in a small town in between steveinaz's town and tucson. but i did learn that phoenix is like number one in the nation for red light runners. adjacent tempe arizona is like number two and tucson in number four. i believe we still have the highest stolen car rate. anyway, as usual there were many hot young ladies in there. but they had us stuffed like sardines in this tiny little room. i was sandwiched between two smelly folk. thank goodness it's over.

i had stopped drinking earlier that night and felt pretty darn sober before i allowed myself to leave. sure, i know all the "you don't think you're impaired, but you are" stories. anyway, the officer smelled the alcohol on me somehow and called me on it. i was absolutely straight up with him and i think he recognized that so he was very cool. if he wanted, i'm sure he could've owned my **** and given me a dui. after traffic school and my coming of age i think i am growing rather afraid of my old ways.

with all due respect to Audiobliss who's proved time and time again that he's a really nice guy; bringing up someone's past drinking problem (if there is one) for all to see on a public thread is ****.

    Sorry if I offend.

nah, it's cool aa. i was discussin' my ticket in the attn. sw polkies thread and audio had my back by sayin' i was lucky, and i was.

oh, and no, i've never and plan to never have a drinking problem. my bro-in-law is going through that and has ruined his life and possibly my sister's. i hate the fact that alcohol can affect a person so badly.

If you never want the problem, then leave the drinking to one day and the driving to another. The two do NOT mix in the same 24 hours.

Sorry if my post appeared to be digging skeletons out of the closet. That definitely was not my attention, and I don't believe I was doing that. I just remembered reading what BIZILL posted here: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34960
    BIZILL wrote:
oh, steve. you need to smack me. i asked you how the police were about speed traps and what not.....ft. huachuca pd handed my **** to me. could've been worse, he smelled alcohol on my breath but saw i was not impaired so he didn't go there. thank god, i'm sure i would have blew at least a .1 bac.

Seeing as how BIZILL already posted it, and that it doesn't speak of a problem, but an occurence, I didn't think it was out of place. Was just trying to answer a question based on what I had read.

But if it was inappropriate, I apologize.
