Interference from TV. Normal?
Hello.
I got my first home theater system with Polk Speakers. I have R15's and CSi3 for the center. I have 27" CRT HDTV by Samsung, and placed the center above the TV. Receiver is Onkyo TX-SR603X.
After I placed the center speaker above the turned-on TV, without the center speaker even connected to the speaker wire, it makes "zzzz..." noise. That noise is quite low so that I could hear it only if I place my ear right beside the speaker.
This noise is different from the white noise when I connect it to the receiver and pump up the volume. Is that normal? Magnetical shield cannot reduce such noise completely?
Truly,
Sam
