Connection problem PWS 1000 to Yamaha RX-V2600

I purchased the PSW 1000. I have a problem. I get no sound out of the Sub. I've tried all the connections for sub out. I have a Yamaha RX-V2600 receiver. Do you have any suggestions that I might try? HELP!

The Green light and the red light both work. I went through the manual for the receiver and I belive I enabled the subwoofer out port.
What I did was connect a line to the sub out port and to a splitter to the back of the woofer line in ports. But I get nothing! :mad:

What settings do you have your speakers set to in the receiver? For a test, set all of your speakers to small, and subwoofer on.

If that still doesn't give you anything, then maybe try hooking the LFE port on your sub to the left or right channel pre-amp outputs on your receiver. The speakers need to be set to large at this point, and maybe even "subwoofer off"

If you get a signal, there might be something wrong in the settings in the receiver or with the LFE port on the back of the receiver.

If something still doesn't work, then you might have problems with the sub.

Also, one other suggestion. Make sure you are using the subwoofer "out" on the back of the receiver instead of the subwoofer "in" with the multichannel input. I know this may seem silly, but it has happened a time or two.

Thanks for contacting us. Here's a fool proof way to test to see if the sub-woofer is the cause:
1). turn the volume all of the way down on the sub-woofer and remove all of the connecting cables/wires except the AC power cord.
2). find the right and left RCA cables that go from your DVD player to the receiver and remove them at the back of the receiver.
3). bring the DVD player over to the sub-woofer and provide AC power for the DVD player, then connect the right and left RCA cables from the DVD player to the corresponding right and left inputs on the sub-woofer.
4). begin playing any CD (not a DVD, but a CD) and turn the volume up slightly on the sub-woofer. There should be plenty of clean sounding bass with no bad noises. Let the CD play completely through and try stopping and starting the player.
Let me know the results.

ok, I tried that. It works fine from the dvd. I still grt nothing from the sub pre out.
