Does anyone here have this? Just curious as to it's effectiveness. I have read that is has a low end filter of 15hz. Does that mean that if you have a sub that goes lower the SMS will still on pass 15hz and up? If that is the case I think I will wait a bit for the sequel...

That's a question I could ask Bruce Hall :) . Seriously, this product, while fairly expensive, is the easiest multiple sub room tamer I could imagine. It visually gives you on the fly EQ with a multitude of parameters before you get to the the multiband patch sliders for cuts and gain.

The SMS-1 has a non-defeatable high pass and the least intrusive setting is 15 Hz with a 1st order (6 dB/octave) slope. It would be nice to be able to bypass the high pass entirely, but that is not available right now. It could be a feature with future firmware upgrades, though (check with Bruce Hall).

I think that they are going to make that feature available in a firmware upgrade... Velodyne EQ AVS

Yes, that is true (and most welcome). But you did make this statement in the original post: "If that is the case I think I will wait a bit for the sequel..." so I didn't want you to buy something with a feature/fix that wasn't yet available.

If you are willing to live with the existing 15 Hz 1st order high pass (and I think you are since it appears from the other thread that you bought one), then all is cool.
