    I still can't figure out Cathy's aversion to tubes. She was very excited about them at PFest when I gave her and her sis in-law a demo in Doro's tube room. I think she should start out with a simple tubed pre or buffer(like the MF) so she can see that there's very little maintanence involved. I think that's what scares most away from tubes. I mean, come on, if the tube sound wasn't true, they wouldn't be having such a strong comeback. Too many different companies are getting involved with tube gear these days for it not to be true.

    Come on Cathy, I think Lou will be putting his ELP on the market real soon and it will not cost you much to try it out that way. On the other hand, a buffer could be put inline and you wouldn't have to take anything out of line, just add one more pair of ICs.
