The Terminator
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

imo it's a tie between 1 & 2.
I spit on 3. :D

it just doesn't make any sense that's all. i mean what's the point?
I hardly even remember the woman terminator (model X?). but i do know that the liquid 1000 in T2 was a damn freak.

i think Terminator 4 should pit Ahhnold against Tookie. Fro and all.

T2 was clearly the best. Its a scientific fact.

T1 was very good. T3 was okay. Pretty lame actually unless you are like me and loved #2.

Agreed. T2, at it's release, raised, and reset the bar for sci-fi action movies. The camera work, the effects, the score. It still holds it own today, what fourteen years later?

    Cheers,

don't let james cameron see this poll. he might think that the last installment didn't captivate the audience with any efficacy.. he may thwart creating/finishing part four.

I agree T2 was more enjoyable. Awesome effects (for its time, especially) and very engaging. It was also more fun to see Ahnuld as a hero. However, from a film critic's point of view, I can see why many would think the first one was a superior film. It's just it's so damn 80's.

T1. It's simply dated and it shows. It was awesome at that time....but not anymore. This movie is rolling into the Star Trek: Wrath of Khan bracket for me. This was the Terminator in the most RAW form.

T2. Yes....a mainstay for this genre for awhile longer. The Terminator evolved a little, added some humor, but when attached to a chain gun....R A W.

T3. Easy to forget, especially w/ Claire Danes and Nick Stahl. The Terminator transformed into Martha Stewart. The female Terminator(Loken) was hot, but hasn't been seen since.

the 'chase' sensation and overall pacing are better in the first one. That's what keeps 1 on the same stomping grounds as 2 imo.

but seriously though the 2nd one had THE PERFECT ending. Why make a 3rd?
    oh yeah. $.

The first one is my favorite simply because I was onnly 12 at the time and thought the Terminator was the most terrifying and coolest thing Id ever seen!

The 2nd is a very close tho, great action and special FX.

Wanna know the part that makes me sick? T2 is 15, yes 15 years old!!!!!

T1 looks like it was made by the same animation/claymation studio that did the CBS Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

It's hard to beat the original (my vote) in any series of movies, but T2 was a damn good flick too.

#1 all the way! #2 was a very close second. Could've beat out #1 due to the better effects but it's hard to beat the original. #3... J O K E ! Only thing saving it was the extreme hottie (which was not believable) and killer surround. To bad it didn't save a pooooooor plot.

Who did vote for #3? You and I are going to have some problems, I think. jk

I voted for #1. The second one is the superior film technologically, but the first film had the better emotional pull.

I just realized I do not own any of these.
That sucks cause now I want to watch them all in a marathon fashion after xmas.
    Time to go shopping.
My vote goes with 1 because the original storyline was inovative.
Number 2 had better effects and sound but was a sequel so that detracts a little for me.
Number 3 I do not remember.

A poll like this on the Mad MAx series would be interesting.
