Can't tell, the image is too small. She could be one of those "good from far but far from good".

Too bad she doesn't sing well. I heard one recording where she does, so I know she can, but all the others... trash can material for my tastes.

I dont like her music but her recordings are some of the best reference material on the market. Her and Allsion Krause. Shew, hate her stuff too but excellent reference.

Why cant cool bands have great recordings?! :D

Tool (the band) *ducks and runs for cover*

Despite my ramblings about music, I think they're still a very innovative band and had some of the best recordings in the industry. If I recall correctly their albums have been featured in a number of audiophile magazines as reference quality material.

LOL, well she's got all the looks she'll ever need. I have her Look of Love and another SACD, not something I listen to everday but when I am in the mood for it she gets my ole heart pumping pretty good. The recording sounds great on the Shed rig.

Thanks for those pics with her name, Mac. Before I saw that I didn't even know who she was! I'd agree she's pretty good. Not as good as Allison Krauss, though!

EDIT - Now I notice the original picture has her name in it, too! :o Oh well, just not very observant...

I think she has the best legs in Jazz, but I guess in that male dominated field, that isn't sayin alot............ ;)

BTW, if you haven't heard "The Girl In The Other Room" you are missing out. New songs co-written by her and new hubby Elvis Costello are tough stuff.

I'm sure you were looking at here posture right?? ;)

You really should hear and see her live. She's amazing in concert. A bit to much of a diva for my tastes.. she hasn't earned the right to be called a diva yet. but she thinks she has.

Either way. her command of vocals is really very good.

See Diana Krall perform live if you ever get a chance.

I have 4 or 5 of her albums. My two favorite are Steppin' out (her first) and "When I Look In Your Eyes". I really enjoy her voice and renditions. Of course she isn't bad to look at either.

However I never did think the recordings were that great. To me there is just too much background noise, at least the cd's seem to. All of her discs that i have seem to have a constant hiss in the background.

Has that been cleaned up on the DVD-A and SACD stuff? Haven't had a chance to listen to them closely.

Agree wholeheartedly. Unemotional. No depth. A jazz imitator.
