I have the RM7500...what towers work?
Hello all...I am a new member and need some input.
I currently have the RM7500 speaker system for my big screen TV. I really love them but would like to get a pair of floorstanding speakers that would work well with them. I don't want to break the bank but thought the RTi8 or Monitor 60 would compliment them. The base in my system is really good. What do you think? Thanks, Bill
FOLLOW UP (12/16/05)...Thanks for your thoughts. I did call Polk and they suggested the RTi8. I did find a pair and bought them. I will eventually upgrade my center to the CSi5. Good Luck!

Hmm...not sure about what would match....I would suggest you call polk and ask which would be a close timbre match to the tweeters of the 7500....System 1: Martin Logan Vantage, Rotel RC 1070, B&K Reference 200.2, Music Hall DAC 15.2, Yamaha 2300
System 2: LSi15 w/db840, Marantz SR8400, Rotel 1080, RM6800 (C&S), Sony X2020ES
System 3: LSi7, Yamaha SW215, Music Hall Maven, Music Hall MMF CD25 w/627opamps
System 4: RTi100, Harman Kardon AVR 230, Panasonic DVD -
problem is, any tower (even the R30's) will overpower the center and you'll only be emphasizing the large amount of volume coming from the fronts in most action movies today. You think it's bad to hear the dialog during an action sequence now, try adding the towers into the mix.
Now if you do want a set of RTi8's, you need to get the CSi5 as your center. The CS2 will work for the Monitor 60's.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.
