Just watched it. Great movie. A couple of scenes were fantasically incredulous, but otherwise it was cool. Good story, good sound. The futuristic vehicles were very nice, especially the Caddy. Rental worthy.

Cool, this is on my must-buy list just haven't made it to the store yet. I also have a $3 off coupon for it. Looks like a very cool flick.

I enjoyed it, but thought they could have developed the characters slightly more. But trust me, anything with Scarlett Johansson in it, I'm THERE!!! :)

Just bought it tonight after work. Started watching ufc so it will have to wait. Will probably wait till Friday night and invite my brother in laws over to watch it on a real system, not a $200 surround that he thought was great untill he heard mine.

Ok. Definitely a little suspension of disbelief but I liked it. At least it was not a Dukes of Hazard remake. I found the PQ to be excellent and the sound makes his movie a keeper. Nice bass throughout.

I'm incredulous that you don't know such a cromulent word.

I saw this movie yesterday, it was PRETTY good... I also had a hrd time looking past some of the more ridiculous scenes as well, but what do you expect of a Michael Bay film. It also kind of bothered me how much of the concept was a direct rip off of other movies (Logan's Run comes immediately to mind). That all said, still a fun flick :)

This one is a keeper for me too. Has some really wild action sequences, and good sound and pic quality. Story is a strech, but overall a fun action movie.

    HOLY CRAP! This movie blows.

It was so horribly directed. Anyone else could have made this movie much, much better.

I rented it for Scarlett, but even her acting was so annoying it made me go limp. Damnit she is hot, but her effort in this one sucked. Same with Ewan. I don't blame them as much as I do the director and the editor for not getting the best out of them and for keeping some totally unneeded and pointless lines.

    Steve Buschemi, as always, owned.

Saw it last night for the 1st time and was entertained. It wasn't Oscar material by no means, but I've seen much, much worse films. I give it a 7 out of 10 mainly for the cool LA scenes. Loved the use of the Magnums and the Jet bike was WAAAYYY COOOL!!!
    I liked the yacht, too.
What year was it supposed to take place in? I remember Lincoln's sponsor saying that the Caddy was a '09 model, but I thought it was like the 2050's or something like that????:confused:

I disagree, she was very good in Lost in Translation and A Love Song for Bobby Long.

If I remember correctly (I think there was a reference somewhere in the movie) I think it was supposed to be around 2020.
I'm surprised so many people have disliked this movie so much. I liked it better than most big-budget action flicks of late. Yeah, there were some crappy lines and Steve Buscemi was totally under-utilized (I guess they could only afford him on set for a day or two) but the story was interesting if not totally original and the effects and sound were great. And Scarlett just gets better-looking every movie. Man. Can't way to see the cleavage at the Oscars!
