He is a cutie pie. He will look even better when he fills out a little more & loses the boyish look!

Ron, just how is he supposed to look? The only Superman who looked for lack of a better word, (manly) was the original TAS George Reeves. In fact he was the hardest looking 26 yr old I've ever seen.

I just had to get this dvd when it came out for nostalgia purposes!

All the others looked kinda wimpy to me, but then they are supposed to till they put on the costume & start kicking butt!

I thought Chris was the best Superman. He was kinda pretty too but he still had enough "manliness" to pull it off.

I dont like this new guy either, granted all Ive seen are the promo pics so I hope Im wrong.

    Just like Christopher Reeve.

Too hard looking for the role. Chris Reeve had the good looks and enough manliness to fit the roll. Even the Smallville guy would not work, he'd need to get through puberty first.

There will never be another Chris Reeve.

    Agreed about Chris Welling.

That's the main problem with casting certain roles. Superman & James Bond in particular. They have to find someone who is handsome, but not really cute, young enough to handle the physical challenges but looks old enough to have enough life experience so that no one doubts he knows what he's doing.

Aside from the fact that Pierce Brosnan was tied up in a tv series at the time it was also a matter of the fact that at the time, he looked & was way too young to be Bond. When he finally got the part he was at just the right age & look!
