    I've seen construction guys do it on heavy equipment. earth movers, tractors, cranes. anything with a big **** diesel. I dont know If I would do it in a car doing highway speed though. to each his own :D

    I've re-heated hot dogs that way on a long trip. Never did any actual cooking though.

    I first heard about his back in the sixties when I was a kid, but never had the gumption to give it a try. I'll just stick with restaurants when we go on our road trips to see the in-laws, the kids love stopping at Steak-n-Shake and it's easier that way.

    In the Army we would lay our MRE's on engines to heat them up. Works really well.
