Audio rags I've found worthwhile, and subscribe to:

    $ensible Sound

    The Absolute Sound

    Hi Fi +

    Audio Express

For car audio Car Audio & Electronics is by far the best. Its geared toward the serious enthusiast and competitor as it reguarly covers competitions and has lots of educational articles as opposed to other mags that just have wild pictures.

For home audio I really like Sound and Vision.

Sound & Vision should NOT make your short list.

Too much vision, not enough sound. Most of their articles seem to be a little amateur, that provide no real valuable information that can't be obtained on a forum like this. Their DVD and especially video game reviews are decent, but its a very minor part of the magazine tucked in the back.

I just don't find it has a lot to offer anyone who is even somewhat well acquainted with HT and audio.

Yeah, that is true. They do seem to appeal more to the average consumer rather than the enthusiast. Not a lot of high end reading in there. Its mostly basic coverage on farily basic gear.

Still, it works for me. Im not that much into HA so I just want to be informed on the basics so I know whats going on and such.
