My question would be "WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING THEM????"

    *ahem*

Anyway. I paid $1500 delivered for mine, which I think istowards the lower end for 1.2s.

$1400-$1900 range? There are others here who have been keeping track better than I.

I would say the ebay listings go from $1500-2000. Don't hesitate on any SDA in good condition especially from an original owner without shipping. SDA's are like an investment that's fun and plays "music to your ears" dividends. I gave $1300 for mine a couple years ago; the only downfall with them was they drove me to buy better source and amp equipment. SDAs love power even though they are quite efficient, the big amps just make them come alive.

SDA SRS and SDA SRS 1.2 differ less than going to the TL which had significant changes. I believe their are differences in the crossover and the SDA Driver MW6503 vs a MW6511. They went to pin blade (vs blade blade) with the 1.2 and impedance went from 4 to 6 ohms. Slightly different frequency response and overall efficiency 92db to 91db.

I've not listened to all together so really can't comment on which sounds better; lots of subject variables. Grab them.

I got my 1.2TLs for 1500.00 picking them up. Might not be that accurate of what I paid for the speakers as they came with two NAD 2700 amps, NAD 1700 pre-amp and several pairs of Monster Cable interconnects and 100' of Monster Cable original speaker wire. If anyone has an estimate of what the electronics and accessories are roughly worth, let me know and I'll subtract from the price paid.

Just consider that in order to get a pair of these from E-bay, you would pay ~ $1500 plus anywhere from $500 to $800 for shipping. I bought a pair of 1.2TL's recently for $2500. I probably could have found a pair for less, but these were local. If the guy lives next door, all you need is 6 pallbearers to carry them to your house.

BTW, I'm curious. I rarely see vintage Polk speakers discussed on Audioasylum. Although I think that they are the best speakers made, I wonder what would be a comparable speaker to the SRS speakers. Just a sound quality comparison. (I don't think any other speaker can produce the SDA soundstage.)
Speakers: Polk 1.2TL w/VR3 mods and Dreadnaught interconnects
Amplification: ARC Reference 110 w/KT150s; Cary Audio SLP-05 w/Ultimate Upgrade

    Digital: Aurender N100H; Benchmark DAC1
