They were in communication, listings won't even show in searches for up to a couple hours after posting. I'd say there is a greater chance than zero the buyer/seller 'set up' the transaction, to make if official. They already had the deal cut.

Actually, if that's the case, kudos to them for doing it officially. They could just as easily have done the sale privately and cut the Ebay fees out of the mix.

if that were the case, why pay for all the extra pictures and everything else?

buyer protection, what little it is, it might mean enough to the buyer.

there are small Ebay coupons out there ;)
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Sounds like Matt oughta crank up the production line again... alot of folks have alot more spendable cash than before.

What did they originally retail for? I could easily afford 'em, but I ain't got 1200+WPC to crank them.

My SRS's are doing spectacularly well on my measly 240!!

LOL... Yup... that $25 off made the deal...

Been a while since I listed on ebay, but I generally used the time delay option and my listings were searchable right away. With the listing starting on the hour, it looks like that may be the case here. But if so, that's a hell of an impulse buy.

I know my personal record for winning a BIN listing is under 10 minutes...

Well, I didn't bother going to ebay to see the ad.

I am curious about one thing: it says about burning them in with about 200 hours of pink noise. What gives there? I have a pink noise generator on my EQ, one thing that I noticed is since I replaced the polyswitches, they are evening out the more I play them, because before I redid the switches, I could only go to about 30% on the volume, now I can easily hit 50-75%. I think they're doing a bit of a re-burn-in, sorta.

Burn-in, be it speaker or wire or circuits, is in the ear of the beholder. While debate occurs over whether it is real or not, it's not applicable to your polyswitch replacement.

Polyswitches simply get tired with time and begin to open prematurely. Thus your new ones are staying closed at higher current levels than the old ones did.

That said, be judicious in your volume settings. 75% is over the top.

I'm runnin about 55% now, I got about 200WPC into 8, so it's probably at about 260 or so. Got a couple real nice Kenwood amps from back when Kenwood was Kenwood... one a these days, I might investigate some tube stuff.

And I guess I'm wonderin if you don't put some serious amps to these puppies for awhile, can the caps sorta not necessarily degrade, but just not get used to running optimally?

One thing I am noticing now is the dreaded 13K.....

Nah... the only risk is asking too much of your Kenwood's.

    Which Kenwood's do you have?

KM894 into the low half and KA-900 Audio Purist into the high end.

New fuses all the way around.

No preamp, I'm taking the source into a 110k rotary, then into the 894.

For SS, the sound is really very, very good. Excellent transients.
