Need speaker help from experienced audiophiles...
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a little guidance for purchasing a completely new set of home theater speakers. I will be using a 7.1 reviever, and want to make sure that all 7 speakers are from the same series. I would prefer to buy in-wall speakers, but I am also considering bookshelf speakers for the front three speakers such as the monitor 40 speakers.
My family room is only 19' X 17', so space is an issue. This was my main reason for buying a plasma screen and wanting in-wall speakers. My budget doens't alow for anything extravagant, and the polk RCi series in-wall speakers seem to match what I can spend perfectly. How about the TCi series in-wall speakers? Will I notice the difference between the two?
I will be using the Denon AVR-3806 reciever.
Thank you to all that respond.

I would use the RCi series. The TCi series' major advantage is more customization of the speakers for difficult room situations (which it really doesn't look like you have). I'm not sure the additional costs would justify any of the benefits. The RCi series and the Denon should work well together. I think I would go with the inwalls over the bookshelf speakers since floor space is an isssue for you."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais
