Anyone else off work? Working for a school has its advantages.... one of them being most of the time you get the same days off as the students :). I'll probably have to go in around lunchtime or so, but hey, I'll take what I can get. Only downside being that I get paid by the hour, so every hour I sit here doing nothing is money lost :(

Were still getting pounded in CT, supposed to be ten inches by noon today. Where I live the streets still haven't been cleared, and its already 9:30, no college today.

Rained like crazy last night for about 7 hours. Based on the level of my pool we got about 2+ inches. Temp didn't get below freezing until well after the rain stopped so....NO SNOW! We would have had several inches if the temp had fallen sooner. I'll probably hit the golf course tomorrow. 50° and sunny. Great golf weather!

We can get tons of snow and it's life goes on here. I have not heard of a school being closed here in a very long time.

There was about 8" last night in my neighborhood. The snow was bad enough at Midway airport (10") that a Southwest plane from Baltimore slid off the runway, through a fence and into an intersection, killing a six year-old boy in a car. Nine injuries in cars hit by the plane, 2 on the plane. I'm glad I have a 4x4, 'cause it was nasty this morning.

Yeah, roads are getting pretty rough by me (Boston area). I work north of Boston and it's way worse up here at work. A bunch of people called out. Even with 4WD I got crossed up once or twice (wheee!).

Hopefully they let us go home early today.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

my commute was rough as well, took about double normal time. there is not that much that has come down but it is snowing hard, i just hope there is not that much more cause the parking lot at work is down a little hill and i think the accord might have some problems getting back up. one of these days i will get a 4wd vehicle.

I'm at work here in KC and the only place I want to be is in my Theater room drinking beer and watching dvd's. It is miserable here is the least I can say.

This sums up the weather here most recently. Just had a little rain shower over night. Today's high will be 70f and partly cloudy with a 20% of rain and then sunny.

dang, those pics of snow-covered roads just skeers me! anyway, we're so hard-up for snow that when the nearby mountains get some, locals bring truckloads of it back to those in the city.

I knew a day like this would come, when I actually regret trading my Jeep in. I didnt want to drive my new Volvo in the snow, since if some one hit it, I would friggin snap. so I drove my 2 wheel drive pick up truck. since its a short bed, it actually dont do too bad
