RTi28 or RTi38 - which one for me?

It's been a long while since I've asked any questions on here - hope I remember how...:D
I have moved the RTi70 into the bedroom for the 2 channel system, so I'm empty up front in my HT.
Actually I have a pair of Acoustic Research 206HO bookshelves up there now. They're actually very nice speakers, well built and look nice. They sound decent also, but don't match my center and surrounds. I could give a crap less about the surrounds, but I've got to have a consistent sound across the front stage, and these don't mate well with the CSi40.
So one option is to move the 70s back in there and put the ARs in the bedroom with a sub - the wife and I aren't crazy about this idea - and I think I plenty of bass with the 70s for that application (100% music).
So I'd like to keep the bedroom rig as is, and just replace the AR in the living room. I don't think another set of RTi70 is a practical option because I have not seen many around here for sale, and I'm not chancing shipping on those.
So I'm looking at some RTi28 or RTi38. I have a pair of 28 readily available to me, but I'm concerned about the smaller size midrange than the one in the center - is that going to create an issue? I'm not concerned about the low end because my sub handles all that. What I am concerned about is issues in the midrange. Should I hold out for a pair of RTi38?
What about something along the lines of an RT35, or something in the current line like and RTi6? Am I going to be right back where I am with either of those because of the different in tweeter?
Any thoughts?

Once, just for giggles, I replaced my RT55is with my RT25is. I have a CS400i for a center and RT15is for the rears and a Daytona Titanic sub. For standard movie fare they worked very well. Also did an admirable job with music. They are not the equal to a 2.1 RT55i setup, but they are still pretty good configured as a 2.1 rig.
If you have the opportunity to get the RTi28s now, go for it. If you try it and don't like it sell them and get the RTi38s. I know I could live with the RT25is as fronts."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

I have the CSi40 and am using R15s as surrounds. I know the R15 aren't matched with the front stage, but I don't really care much - they work fine for what they're used for.

I think it is more important that the tweeters are consistant across the front...and either the RTi28s or the RTi38s will do that for you. I'm not sure matching the drivers matters as much."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

I have a pair of Rti100's and matched them with the RTi38's. Good match. I then purchased a CSi5 and a pair of RTi6's and all is matched. I like the RTi6's better than the 38's. All tweeters are matched.Michael

For HT, get the 38's. They're a little beefier than the 28's.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
