I have Alex's modded Philips SACD-1000, that I thought was a reference-class tube output-stage CDP. Well, that was 2 years ago, it was then, and now he has this as the reference:

Even his little Pio-563 modded, which is a SS with tubey sound characteristic, is very nice mid-class CDP.
