Lots of music, beer, food & fun, thanks Wes, Courtney, and Bill. Bev & I really enjoyed your company--we had a blast. Sorry about the grub situation, Bev & I usually do much better in that department. Next time we'll hook up some steak and shrimp, mesquite style.

Thanks again guys, I had a great time!

wutchu talkin' 'bout, steve. that homemade meatlover's pizza appeased the beast in me. i kept getting more helpings when no one was looking. anyway, thanks for having us. we'll do it more often, be it at your place, mine, wes' (i-sig) or courtney's (schleppy). oh, steve. you need to smack me. i asked you how the police were about speed traps and what not.....ft. huachuca pd handed my **** to me. could've been worse, he smelled alcohol on my breath but saw i was not impaired so he didn't go there. thank god, i'm sure i would have blew at least a .1 bac.

edit: my bad...57 in a 45 mph section. friggin' fast-slow-fast-slow as you travel through the huachuca area.

Oh man, sorry about that---I tried to warn you. That 45mph zone is Huachuca City's only source of revenue...

i was thinkin' that once i saw those lights...glad to do my part in helping the poor souls of the fort. i was upset at first, but now i think i chalk it up to karma. karma's still on my side though. remember how i told you to keep the remaining beers from my cooler? thank god i didn't have to twist your wrist to get you to comply. the officer asked me what was in the cooler. i said in a responsible manner, "i had a bunch of beer in there but told my buddy to keep it so i wouldn't have to drive with it in my car. wanna check it out?" somehow i believe that was the ticket, no pun intended. as well i did not have my up-to-date insurance card in my wallet. he let that one go as well. i suppose he was being pretty cool about the whole ordeal. to all who are invited to stay the night with senor steve, perhaps you should take him up on it. hey shleppy (courtney), you make it back to chandler without a hitch?

i think i did. just sucks though. money to take the driving class would be better spent on my kids for x-mas. but i suppose i did the crime so i'll do the time. kids will be fine though. i'll get 'em sump'n good still. x-mas is about them and not myself. on a side note, i was clocked 57 in a 45 with the 55 mph sign only 200 feet ahead. tsk, tsk. wonder if the officer loved rubbing that fact in. i would if i were them.

quote of the night...(steve and his wife's friend) "where did you find this guy?" (pertaining to me)... my answer for steve, "on the internet." sorry, guess you had to be there to understand. we all laughed about it.
steve, i have to make you proud. i've always been a bassaholic but after hearing your more neutral setup with no sub i spent tonight re-listening to my cd's. i've never noticed the over-bearing bass that came from my sub settings. i have since turned the gain down. now everything sounds better. i'd never go without a sub, even for music, but now things sound more neutral/flat but still can definately appreciate my sub's contribution to the overall sound quality. funny how after listening to another person's preferences you notice changes you'd like to make to your own setup. for movies i keep it LOUD, though.

Everyone has their preferences. I like solid/taunt bass that isn't plummy or boomy. The objective in a sub setup is to get the sub to just fill-in what the mains can't reproduce, not to "enhance" what the mains are already doing. I tried an SVS sub with my 2-channel and just couldn't get the sub to stop "enhancing" no matter how low I set the crossover freq and/or level, so I sold it, and have never looked back.

I do like the sub effects with movies, but I have my 2-channel doing double-duty and my priority has always been the music.

i just remembered, when the officer handed me my ****, i mean my ticket, he just had to add the little "happy birthday, your court date is set for that day." wonderful. drive an hour outta my way on my birthday to make a court appearance. no thanks officer. i'll just take the driving class. there are always young hotties to look at when you go to those.

This internet dating thing works awesome! Seriously though Steve, had a great time and thanks for having us over. You and your wife are great hosts, along with a great group of friends that you have in SV.

Honestly didn't think it would be so much fun to hang with a group of audio geeks. Had a blast and can't wait for the next get together...Wes, Bill, and Steve are all great guys for any of you that had any doubt! I'll host one next summer (pool party!).

Glad to hear you made it home with only a speeding tik Bill. No problems for me, except the group of people still at my house when I showed up at 2:30 that didn't think the night should ever end...

szhlepp, i was wondering if you were worse off than me. nice to hear from ya. when i sped past you i was just lettin' you know i stopped for gas. then i attempted to catch back up to you and surprise you. looks as though i got the surprise instead.

sorry 'bout the people keepin' you up all night when you got home. i would hate that. thanks for letting wes and steve check out your lsi9's. i wish i had stayed the night to give a listen. definately we'll all make good on doing this again. wes and steve hang out often. hope i can join in the loop. nerds running in packs is far better than a lone geek.

be sure to post every now and again to let us all know you are still alive. we'll see you sooner than later... have a good one. bill.

also be sure to check out steve's write up of your speakers. i'll bet wes and steve pushed 'em a bit harder than they say they did with that eve 6 song. and when are you slated to pick them back up? or is i-sig gonna drive them home to you? possible hang out date, if we're not all busy. holidays, bah, humbug.
