Which speakers to buy ???
I have :
Carver Ct-29v

my question is which Polk speakers to buy. My bedroom is my listening room and its about 12 X 14....Would I be better off with bookshelfs or floorstanders ??? Thanks everyone...........

The wattage for the TFM-45 is 375 watts per channel and 1000 watts bridged at 8 ohms....My listening room is my bedroom which ia about 12 X 14 Never really a chance of surround although the CT-29v is a five channel pre-amp. Its ALOT of power for a small room but you can never really have enough power.....right ????Carver CT-29V pre, TFM-45 amp, SD/a 490t Vacuum Tube CD, LINN Keilidh speakers, PS Audio Statement cableing, APC power, Vibra-Cones

You know I considersd the Rti8's but I curious if that big bed in the room will do more harm than good.....What are your recommendations for floorstanders ???? And why ??????????Carver CT-29V pre, TFM-45 amp, SD/a 490t Vacuum Tube CD, LINN Keilidh speakers, PS Audio Statement cableing, APC power, Vibra-Cones

if money is an issue, and you don't want the lsi series, go with the rti12's. mids and tweets are mounted high. subs are low, but bass is pretty much omni-directional.

With a setup like yours, if you're hell-bent on floor standers, go with the Lsi15. Don't short-change on speakers.
To my ears jumping to the Lsi series is worthy upgrade over the Rti. If I was looking for an rti "priced" speaker, it wouldn't be a Polk.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
