Since I bought these(haven't picked them up yet), I have been doing a some research to learn more about them.

I've done some searches on the forum, but I still have some questions/observations that need to be confirmed/answered:

1) These will need a common ground amplifier

2) They come with a homemade interconnect(via Russ's instructions), although I don't know the type.

3) Does anyone have a manual that I can get a copy of, or does Polk have copy that I can request?

4) Are the crossovers very difficult to update/upgrade? I haven't done much soldering at all, so this would be my first major project.

5) What other upgrades are suggested(other than the tweeters).

I've watched intently at all of the SDA discussions over the last year, but until you actually have some.........

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Question 4= nope,if you have decent soldering skills it is relatively easy, obtain a schematic,if needed,DRY fit first,as the newer caps will be larger,I'm sure if you do a search you can find the parts list,I ordered from parts connexion, (do a google) if needed, and there you go, I just finished four sda 1c x-overs and preparing(waiting on the tweets) to finish up,while you are in the neighborhood, you may want to upgrade the binding posts, I used cardas ccgr short and will be installing right after this post. I'm sure that there are other members with more expertise in this area will chime in--enjoy :)
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

    1) Yes
    2) If Russ said so it must be correct
    3) Polk should have 1 but you can also grab a compendium which I still need to do;)
    4) see point (5)
    5) do this first then proceed to (4)

They look real perdy I tell ya :)
