Monitor 30 vs. Rti4

I recently won a pair of Monitor 30's on ebay for $44.00 shipped. They sound pretty good. They won out an A/B comparison to my Athena S.5's (part of the Point 5 system). The Athena's are great for their size but the Monitor 30's have a better midrange and lower bass which is expected due to the larger driver and cabinet volume. What surprised me were the highs. The Athena tweeter is VERY nice (to my ears) but the Monitor 30 tweeter is just as good; detailed and airy just in a more delicate way.

My question is this:

How big of a difference is there between the Monitor 30 & the Rti4? (I'll eventually go to J&R and listen for myself ;) ) The woofer and tweeter look similar and the specs and description on polk's site are worded very closely too.

The Athena's B-1's and the Rti4's will sound better than the 30's to me.

Just wanted add an update. When I originally did an A/B comparison between the Athena S.5 and the Monitor 30 I used 2 different guage wires - 14 on the Polks and 18 on the Athenas. I did a 2nd side by side usind 14 guage with both and the difference is far narrower. The Monitors still sound bigger but just by a little bit. This time the Athenas sounded very close to the to the Polks in both bass and midrange and the highs are a push.
