5.1 sound Windows media Player

Just bought some 5.1 PC speakers but when playing mp3's in windows media player can only get sound from right and left fronts. I have changed the windows sound setting for 5.1 have a creative 5.1 live card with a green, black and orange jack plugged into the sound card.... what do i need to do to get sound from all 5 from mp3s?

mp3s are a 2ch audio format so you'll get sound from the front speakers only, unless there is some "mp3-expander" option in your player... I use Windows Media (v9) or winamp and I get sound from all my speakers (7.1)...

What Windows Media player version do you have? You can download the latest version here...
I don't have to do anything do get sound from all speakers... Does your Creative Sound Card has CMSS software...? that supposed to play MP3 thru a 5.1 system...
