The threads on binding post... are they a standard width?
I plan on replacing my binding post when I order some stuff for my project and was just wondering if its all a standard size...

No, they're not. Best to get the specs on your own before you order if you don't want to deal with possibly enlarging the hole(s) or having slop in the hole(s).
Nickle better than gold? Hmmm... not generally recognized as such. But, then again, I'm not too worried about having gold BPs in anything. Most of my good gear has brass or copper BPs. -
