is there a crossover diferance in quality to warent the duble price? Or is it just due to the 1 inch larger cones? Same for the Rti6 vs 4 series.

Just curious, since I got a pair of rti4's and am concidering useing a pair of Rti6's for my mains for now... vs another pair of 4's

Thanks for your time.

I would say go with the RTi6s for your mains, and definately pickup the CSi5 for you center if you can afford it.

The CSi5 is beefier, and it's more natural than the CSi3, If you can find a place for the CSi5, I guess you outta' size down, but I'd say, if possible go for the CSi5, the added features, and bulk and added strength on the low end make it worthwhile over the CSi3, plus the kick stand is pretty cool.

Good luck on your own search, remember, when in doubt, just trust your ears,

Hmm... Which would be a better choice? A Csi5 or the older Cs400i?

A good many people on this board who had the CSI3 upgraded to the CSI5. The size obviously makes a difference in how it sounds. They can't all be wrong! Do a search and see for yourself.

csi 5 'sounds' more 'natural' than the 3 like mjr7531 said. you can't just judge things by spec sheets of a speaker. polk and sony may share spec characteristics that on paper seem exactly alike, but they will still sound different. either way, the 3 or 5 will be nice. but mark my words, you get the 3 and your brain will boil and always wonder, 'what if?'
