Hi, I went to Sound Advice tonight to check out Speakers. I found some I liked. Polk Audio RM 30 GY fronts and RM 32 GY center speaker. I cant find these speakers on Polks site or any where else for that matter. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Is it against the law for anyone to seel these speakers for less than $399? Jeez, someone must be doing a deal somewhere?

Check Fry's if you have one local."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Same price.....

I find it incredible that no one in the US is offering any deals on these speakers? Why, they are just OK speakers, nothing special. None on Ebay, none anywhere.

Have you ever thought that just MAYBE they're already competetively priced, so there's no need to discount them any further?
They are a bargain at MSRP when you compare them to most anything in their price point, just as all Polks are and always have been."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

FP,
Apparently the free market economy just isn't going in your favor. Capitalism is such a hassle sometimes.

Here here.
Hey, if you don't want to pay the going rate, well.... -
Guys, I have nothing against paying the going rate. Im just very surprised that no one has a better price on them. You very rarely have to pay full retail on anything if you can be bothered to look. I shall toddle of to Sound advice later any pay the price.....

The better the gear the less opportunities for discounts. Go find some B&Ws at a discount...Rotel the same way...ditto McIntosh, Revel, Dynaudio, Linn, Musical Fidelity, Bryston, Parasound, etc, etc, etc. You might be able to negotiate a small discount with a dealer or he might have and "open box" transaction if he needs to move some merchandise, but it is pretty much a one-on-one negotiation. Find any of this stuff at a discount on the internet...If you do, it's "gray market" and probably has lost it's warranty...which is too high a price IMO.Florida Phil wrote:Guys, I have nothing against paying the going rate. Seems like Polk is moving in pretty good company.
That said, if they sell it at CC or Tweeter or Frys, someday it will be on sale or clearanced...just a matter of time."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Well, I pulled the trigger today. I ordered through Crutchfield, the shipping was free, so I upgraded it and my 4 RM7300's and the RM7302 will be here in Wet Orlando buy midday tomorrow(Saturday).

Good move! Crutchfield has some of the best customer service of any retailer on the net. (obviously pretty good shippping too). Great to deal with."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais
