I have 3.1tl's and was wondering if switching to the new replacement tweeters would be a noticeable improvement? Thanks

Yes. The original SL3000's were a huge improvement over the SL2000's, but they were a metallic dome tweeter that "sounds like what it's made of", imparting a slight metallic haze over the high frequencies. The replacements are as smooth as silk, but even more detailed than the originals. The difference is noticeable, but the original SL3000's are excellent tweeters in their own right. Since you'd only have two tweeters to replace, I say go for it, and sell the SL3000's. This may be the only upgrade that won't cost you much of anything to do if you sell the originals.

I am just about ready to order the new tweeters for my SDA-SRS's (original).
I have decided to replace 4 now (2 per unit) and then do 4 later.
Are the RDO-194's the right ones?
Does anybody know if they are out of stock? When they will be available?
Anybody know the correct mailing address? (I have no credit card so will send a check)
Thanks,

Click the "Contact" link at the top/right of the page. Call Ken Swauger at the toll free Baltimore number. He'll provide you with all the information and assistance you'll need. -
Thanx. I spoke to Ken when I ordered my new polyswitches (which I am deleriously happy with).
My neighbors aren't! -
Welcome to the Forum! New replacement tweeters are recommended. I ordered six for my 2.3's going on three weeks ago. They are supposed to be in this week.Carl
