I dont get it, it seems groups like this crave publicity of any kind over achieving a groups actual stated goal

I have raised a PETA daughter and both myself and my wife are PETA people. People Eating Tasty Animals.

I just wish they would stop being hypocrites. If killing animals is so bad, go tell it to a lion, or any other animal that eats other animals. i'd love to see a group of PETA demonstrators whip fake blood at a pack of lions and get eaten alive.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Animals were put here for us to dominate. We ARE the top of the food chain, period.

If one wants to be a Vegan, more power to them, but they need to keep their propaganda to themselves. It's hard enough to raise a child without a bunch of fanatics trying to alienate them from their parents.

PETA is no longer an activist group. They are so far over the edge that theyve lost all credibility and give honorable animal rights groups a very bad name. The Humane Society is a worhwhile animal rights group, PETA is not. Theyre in the Cindy Sheehan/Louis Farekahn wing of kooks.

Penn & Teller did a good ****! on them. One guy that goes on speaking tours for them has been convicted of fire bombing some place because of thier treatment to animals (yet PETA says they don't do that type of thing). They are totally against getting drugs from animals including insulyn for diabetics, yet one of thier top "dogs" is a diabetic. (and she says she needs it so I can continue with the cause).

Peta actually does some very good and wholesome things. It's a shame that they set their credibility on fire by pulling stunts like this. This is just outrageous. On local level they've given 1500 dollars a month to a local spay-neuter organization. Every winter they look for dogs chained out in the cold. They give the people a FREE doghouse in exchange for letting Peta spay/neuter the dog--for FREE.

As a small word for vegetarians *I'm not one*, my girl is vegetarian and has never forced her view on anyone, yet she's been attacked SEVERAL times by waiters, cashiers, bosses, local yokels, et cetera...

    P.S.

stayed away from this thread out of fear of my potential outbursts, but gave her a try. ron-p...absolutely love the acronym. anyway, i have a friend that turned vegetarian on me. he's so wimpy now i wanna smack him square in the jaw. we are no longer buddies because i've remained the same and he is the one who changed. change i can accept. i'll even accomodate when he and his veggie girl come over. but like peta, they've began to try to harp on my ****. i had to end a ten year friendship to save from wrapping my fists with porterhouse steaks and pummelling their asses. do i come off like an arrogant ****? bring an angry vegetarian to my house and we'll duel a bit. porterhouse punches worthy of chuck norris' approval vs. weak boy-girlie slapping. i have no prob with vegetarians. only the pushy ones.

the news story linked above mentions the comic books being allowed into some schools. how much you wanna bet that those same schools are just fine with banning the word GOD in the pledge of allegience. sorry, they can leave their type of propaganda outta the schools. in my town those books would never pass through the front doors. if so, myself along with prolly 90-95% of the other parents will be there as well, just to greet these folk.

It's an amazing thing what you can do these days. Just the other day I drove past the mall out this way and there was several people, with a big **** PA system setup. They had about 9 big posterboards with pictures with a chopped up, bloody and mostly formed fetus on them with the word ABORTION written in red beneath. The guys were SCREAMING and thumping the bible about how your sinful life is leading you to hell and abortion just helps. You could hear it everywhere. I was astounded..as this was the day after Thanksgiving that they were doing this!!

    What shmucks.

    P.S.
The vocals had a nice fullness and body to them. You could hear all the ways you were going to hell in a distinct and clear manner. Soundstage was a bit scattered as there were cars full of children driving by, and you know how badly that smears imaging. Placement seemed to be an issue. Although, I believe if they had been placed in a different town, it would have sounded just as obnoxious and insulting.

    Precisely.
It means they won't get anywhere.

Personally, I think that Vegetarians are fine folk seeing as I am almost one myself. (I can't eat most red meats, think Lactose Intolerance) It's just the one out of thousands that make everybody else look bad, I guess we can only try, eh?
