Home theatre w/ RT800's
I need advise on my home theatre. What speakers will go best with my RT800's to make the right surround system? I dont have a reciever yet. I'll pick it out when I figure out the speakers, but I've been looking at the Denon 2106. Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.

Hi and welcome to the forum.there are some questions that will have to be answered before too much help can be offered. what is your budget, what is the room size etc? in my opinion you will want a polk cs400 center channel and a pair of fx500s for the rears.these will be a timber match for your rt800s. none of these speakers are avaliable as new but they can sometimes be found for sale on this forum or on ebay. i run denon with the rt series and and i like the sound quality, i think they blend well together. depending on your budget you might want to step up to the denon 3805 or 3806 so you will have preouts to add an amplifier later on down the road. Also check out svs subs there are a lot of people on the forum that use these subs and there are a variety of price ranges. even their least expensive sub gets great reviews. I hope this helps.

I have RT800's and have used a CS400 and RT55's for a very nicely matched system ideal for SACD, DVD-A, and all multi-channel formats. However in my current home there was no room for the RT55 in the rear so I'm using FXi5's and am happy with the sound. I could not find the older FX's and can use the FXi5 with my bedroom system when I get a bigger place again.- Wes
