??? about HK AVR 435.

Does the power cord fit lose on anyone elses HK receiver? I just purchased an AVR 435 and the cord seems to slide in and out of the socket pretty easy.

Also, does the 435 do any up converting? If so, what level will it up convert to? I can't really find it anywhere in the manual.
