Minime,
No, all SACD do not have a multi-channel track. Turn your jewel case over, you will see something like SACD Stero for the Jeff Beck.
There are basically three types of SACD.
1. SACD Stereo==plays two channel only
2. SACD Stereo and Surround==plays either two channel or multi=channel as selected
3. SACD Hybrid==plays SACD stereo, surround and as a regular redbook CD on any player. Someone once reported they made SACD Surround only discs but I have never come across this animal.
Enjoy the high resolution music its outstanding.

Also, are you running them with multi-channel hookups? There is one for every channel on the back of your receiver. You don't get SACD from digital coax or fiber optic.

yes i have all the cables hooked up and this sacd doesn't sound very good at all.I hope all the older reproductions don't sound this bad.

IMO that's the reason SACD & DVD-AUDIO are having a hard time taking off. There are a lot of bad mixes & re-mixes of the originals. I've bought a few SACD & only came across a couple that sounded any good. Pink Floyd DSOTM & Nora Jones come to mind. I really think they are both dying formats."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up.

What player are you using? What other gear and speakers is it hooked up to? If you're expecting a $200 SACD player hooked up to a AVR to sound wonderful, forget it. You need gear capable of reproducing hi-rez to take full advantage of it.Political Correctness'.........defined

I seem to remember the Samsung in some sort of write up in one of the mags. It did pretty good. Many folks start off with the multi-sacd's then sort of work their way back to two channel. DSOTM is recorded well in multi-channel, if you like jazz, Diana Krall has some nice ones, Norah Jones, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Elton John--GBYBR just to name a few. The Eagles--Hotel Cal. on DVD-A, Queen on DVD-A and Fleetwood Mac Rumours DVD-A are good multi-channel mixes.
What kind of receiver are you using?
Send me a pm with your address to send you the fifteen bucks.

The Jeff Beck-Blow By Blow is both stereo and Multi-Channel. It is a great sounding SACD in both modes and is not a Hybrid.. I also purchased a Samsung HD841 early on and it was not a good buy. It died after (3) months and never sounded that good while it was alive. I own quite a few SACD Multi-Channel disc that are not Hybrid. Train-My Private Nation, Peter White-Glow, Gloria Estefan-Greatest Hits, and Aerosmith-Toys In The Attic to name a few. I agree that Hi-Res is not a huge mass market winner, but the format is far from dead, I personally have over (200) SACD/DVD Audio titles in my collection, they all sound better than the Red Book CD's without exception. It does require electronics in the upper middle class to get the full benefit of the Hi-Res format which I reached purchasing a Yamaha player for my system. I hope my input helps.
