Is it worth buying a piece of gear with the DCDI chip?
When we bought our TV we were told it contained the chip. After more research it doesn't. I have the chance to exchange it for the the model above which contains the chip. This is an LCD tv.
Should I ?

Worth it if you are using the TV to deinterlace. My other question:
My current one has a refresh rate of 18ms, the newer one has 8ms. Does anyone think I will notice a difference? -
What is the $ difference for you to upgrade? How big is this TV?

I purchased my original on sale new price dif is 100$ but onsale dif $400. SO I would have to cough up and extra 400$ -
Probably not worth it then, because you could by a Faroudja DVD player for that $ or less, which could be used with any TV.

So keep the TV, avoid having to pack it, drive in a snow storm. Leave well engough alone !!
