I currently have a pair of RT 400's I purchased in 1999. I would like to add a center channel and rear surrounds to my system (now that I've finally graduated college and have a real job). What would be some good matches to the RT 400's? I'm using a circa 1996 Marantz SR-670 receiver to power everything. I am also thinking about purchasing a Dolby Digital Decoder for the receiver as well (any thoughts?). Any advise would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

I would think you would want to stick with the same type/style you have.

My thought would be the CS400 for the center and the fx500 for the surrounds.

I had these and liked them alot.

What differences do you notice with 2 rt 55is biwired for you center? Have not heard of this done before but it sounds cool and I may try putting my csi5 in the back and using my rt55is for center as you have.

I like the rt55's as centers with my cs1000p because it puts the center channel sound all around the T.V.
This puts the focal point of the sound in the center of the screen.
While we watch movies the center sound is all around the set and not comming from on top or bottom.
As an added bonus the wall all the equipment is against looks pretty cool.
