I love seeing the taste differences around here, it's really funny. You don't realize it when people are just going one movie at a time, saying they liked it or hated it. And when people list their three FAVORITE movies, you can kinda look past it, cuz everyone LIKES something different, but to list your least favorite seems more shocking.

    Maybe I'm just insane.

Wow, I loved this movie. Same with Fight Club but you HAVE to watch the end to have it tie together.

I also don't own many movies but 3 (I don't own) that quickly come to mind are:
    Wild Wild West
    Batman and Robin
    Charlies Angels (both)

i liked Fight Club for it's sociological concepts and it's take on breaking the glass ceiling through the use of a sub-culture.

I also think Fincher did a hell of a job with the material. Overall I think it's a misunderstood but good film. jmo~ to each his/her own.

Wow there are a lot of movies up here that I like a lot, Fight Club, Hitchhikers's Guide, Lost in Translation (heck I really liked all of Danger's choices) and more.

I get rid of my bad ones as quickly as possible so I really don't have any bad ones right now, but some bad ones I have traded in at Blockbuster recently:
    Godzilla
Armageddon (man Bruckheimer must be stopped)
oh and I do own one bad one
Cannibal! The Musical (Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the South Park guys) college spring-break effort. Great songs, but man is that a crappy movie

Armageddon (man Bruckheimer must be stopped)

I agree with your other movie choices, but not this. I enjoyed Armageddon (own it, in fact), as well as other Bruckheimer "random action with no thought" movies; obviously it's up to taste, but if you're just lookign for mindless action, he's your man. And lots of other people think the same way.

So actually, he must not be stopped, because he makes lots of money for the studios, and entertains quite a few people.

OK, I can understand most these movies- like lost in translation... i liked it, but I understand if you think it sucks... but FIGHT CLUB? That's easily in the top ten movies of the 90's. Hell, the soundtrack alone is worth it. Eh, maybe it's just me.

It is also ranked very high on IMDB so I may be in the minority. Many of the posts about the movie describe it as defining the generation. I tried to watch it and thought it was a crap movie. Maybe I should have tried to get more out of it than just entertainment.

Many people hate the matrix sequals because as a religion they were not as good as the first. I thought they were all decent kung foo movies and never asked for them to be more.

Hmm, well I didn't know that he had anything to do with Enemy of the State, which I actually liked, so I guess he doesn't need to be stopped. In fact I have probably watched all of the blockbusters he has produced for the last decade...so I guess I should just be more choosy. I guess it is the predictabel formula used in his movies that I can't stand...the strained loved stories thrown in (Armageddon and Pearl Harbor come to mind) ...the complete lack of realism (lets send some mining experts who aren't astronauts into space to blow up a big-assed rock)...and *AAAHHHH* worst of all...the power ballads lurking around every corner! Gag!

Oh well, to each his own...

Nice! Got a good laugh out of that one. This whole series was a big let down.

    My three:

    1. American Beauty-I liked this movie the first time I saw it, but after a couple more times I really found I have a lot of issues with this movie. Don't care for it much anymore.
    2. Hannibal-I like Ridley Scott, and I liked Silence of the Lambs, but this one sucked.
    3. Go-One of those Gen-X multiple stories, everything connects in the end pieces that I really just couldn't connect with. Bought it based on the reviews, and because it was out at Blockbuster every time I went to rent it.

i don't know why but i kinda liked this movie.

They screwed up the marketing for it however. It was billed as a gothic horror when in reality it was more of a suspense flick.
    As a movie, I think it's passable. As a soundtrack, it's awesome.
