Anyone familiar with this speaker? I've owned it for several years and they are great. It consists of 4 (6 1/2's) and a tweeter with a 10 inch passive up front and a 8 inch in the rear. Has real wood sides and a acrilic top. How would a mint set fair on the market? Any input would be appreciated.

If you are joining just to sell your speakers, which is generally frowned upon, I would suggest that you try e-pay or audiogon. You can do a web search, polk vintage speakers ,,and see what these have been going for on e-bay,etc. If you are offering them up for sale, they should be posted in the "flea market" area. Not to be rude, but if your only reason for posting is to sell, other places may be better,as we try to keep the equipment, in the "family" so to speak. Nice set of speaks, if you do decide to post for sale, state your price,as we do not bid against each other. WELCOME to the machine,,eh,, forumJC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

"Mint" meaning absolutely no scratches on the tops, no peeling veneer, no dents, dings, or scratches elsewhere, no blown, dented, or scratching drivers may bring a price between $500 to $700 depending on the market at the time. Blue book retail is around $600. The RTA15TL's don't come on the market very often, so prices may vary considerably depending on location and whether there are any interested local buyers. Shipping the speakers is not a good idea because of the cost/size issue. Final selling price may be considerably less because the speakers are not one of the better known Polks. I'd prefer a pair of SDA-1C's in the same price range myself.

I might be wrong, but I would think that a more realistic figure of $350-450 dependant upon condition, is inline.
Like George said, though, if your only reason to register for Club Polk was to sell something and not to join in on the madness , then you will be doing yourself a favor by listing them elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want to be a contributing member of our little club, then you should list them in the Flea Market, with plenty of pics and THE price it will take for a member to take them home, and then if they don't sell in a week or so, take them to EBay, Audiogon, or Craig's List with the knowledge that you tried to hook up a member that would take excellent care of them, but noone bit.
I hope that your intentions are to become a regular member and not to just milk the membership of our wealth of "valuable" knowledge  and then POOF your gone.

Thanks for your input. I have owned Polks since '78 and currently have two other sets of polks (monitor 4's) and Monitor 50 surrounds with sub. I had not seen this model on the market and was curious what Polk fans thought and had heard regarding this speaker.
Glad to be part of the club! -

They look similar to a non-sda version of the 3.1tl's? Are they from a similar vintage?

Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)

They have the same tweeter and drivers as the SDA's. They were the top of the line of the non-SDA speakers.
