Problems posting a GIF file

I don't understand why I can't post a .GIF file (essentially the size of a thumbnail) in more than 1 thread. Each time I try to upload it it says "error" and shows me what other (old) post I already attatched it to. Apparently I can't reuse pics. Once the pic is uploaded, then what if I want to uplaod to another thread? I must be missing something :confused::confused: .

    Click "User CP" then scroll down to "Attachments" on the bottom/left menu. Open the link to the desired attachment, right click on the picture, click "Properties", then copy the path. Open new post and insert image link:
