What are Monitor 10 worth?

I have a pair of monitor 10s that I have not used for a couple of years. I think they show they are series 2 somewhere on the serial number tag. I replace one of the tweeters a couple of years ago also. I'm trying to sell them. The cabinets are in decent shape, but not new looking.

What is a good asking price?

Well, welcome to the club, hope you will participate the forum other than jus one off for pricing. Not sure you are the one posting this to craiglist:

If not, that is reference. I will say, this is an attractive price.
If you decide to post FS to FM, include pictures, your location, and asking price. Keep in mind, we don't usually offer a price, not like ebay or audigon.

Yes, that is my post to Craigs List. I put that up before I knew about this forum. These m10 are the only polk equipment I have now. I am looking at using an m30 as a center channel because of very limit space above my monitor. Normal center channels are too big and the small cheap ones sound poor.

Your asking price is on the low side. You shouldn't have any problem to unload them. I would have contacted you if I didn't already own 4 pairs of Monitor 10....

    Good luck,

    I agree.... $100 for a good set of M10's is a bargain.

Yeek, I just picked up a pair on eBay for $215US, and they were pretty grungy, with grills needing new fabric. I should have been more cautious, but rearely have I been able to find anyone willing to ship up to Canada.

Anyway, my bid was around $5 over the last bid... so that was the range they were going for about 10 days ago.... had only about 3 bidders

Doubt I'll ever use eBay again. :p Learned my lesson. Feel like dirt.

Dude don't feel bad, they still will sound better than 90% of what you can get for the $200-225 range. Just clean em up, replace the tweets, unless they are the Peerless tweeters(attachment.php?attachmentid=10056 ) like those. :) Then just kick back and enjoy the music knowing that you have a legendary speaker to listen to and you didn't have to spend big bucks for good sound.

Plus, $100 for a decent pair of Mon 10s is on the extreme low side of the market. Not typical!!!

    Hi, thanks...

From what great support I've gotten on the boards here, looks like everything may be just fine. Will report back when the monsters are up and firing. They will need a lot of TLC (C for cleaning), and hopefully nothing more than tweeter replacements.
