Sounds like blatant bait and switch. Personally, I'd cancel my order.

I've not listened to either of the subs, but I wouldn't trust that seller at all. If you still want to do business with them and you want that Pioneer, I'd insist that they send you what you ordered. If they can't do it, I'd demand no less than a refund.

Oh, and nice home system you've got for such a young age.

no, it won't rip itself apart, it just won't make much sound - a sub being played in empty air is nearly silent... a 'freeair' installation in a car is simply using the entire trunk as a very large sealed box, which involves - you guessed it - sealing off the trunk as well as possible and mounting the sub in the rear deck...

    oh cheers,
the sub came with a table of info :
    Raptor 12
    Nom imp 2x4ohm
    fs 28 hz
re (ohm) 2x3.6 (what does this bit mean)
LE (mH) 2.8 (what does that mean )
QMS 8.63 (and i dont have a clue what that means either )
    QES 0.49 (or this)
QTS 0.46 (i dont wven know what this means )
    VAS (qu ft) 2.8 L 79.5
    550w rms
    1100 peak
    89 dB 1w/1m
X-MAX 0.30in = 7.5 mm (im not sure but is it peak excursion )
    mounting depth 5 3/4 in
and there is a little about frequencys that you get in diferant boxes.

... just another thing regarding the dB audio thing-a-ma-bobber... the photos on the website you linked to, they don't look to be the same dB audio as the stuff we've got here in the US. The stuff I saw was flat black in color, with silver "DBAUDIO" across the speaker cones. But - anyway - glad to hear you found a sub you're happy with bud. :)
