Pulled this from another forum because I thought it was cool

Some may have seen this before...

So far some have been able to do it by getting rid of depth perception or at least helping it by closing an eye...

Wow!! I just cut one out and put it together...all I can say is it's even more amazing in person than it is in the video! At first I couldn't 'fool' my eye because it knew the shape of the dragon, but after looking at it for a few more seconds, the effect soon took hold. It's phenomenal!!!

dudes and dudettes, on thanksgiving get some elder family members all juiced up with alcohol and then when they're good and drunk, place one of these dragons on the dinner table. they'll walk by and swear they're seeing a demonous figure stalk-watching them. it'll make for a good laugh, that is if they don't **** themselves.

I don't think they really tried, but Mom and Dad couldn't see it. I can sorta turn it on or off, but I'm seeing the effect, it's absolutely astounding!

I made one today. It's pretty trippy. You have to find just the right lighting for it so that you can't really see the folds and joints well. A dark shadowless area works well (on top of my right speaker is perfect for me).

I like seeing people's reactions. First they're like "so... what am I supposed to be seeing?" then it turns to "AHHH that's freaky" as soon as it follows them.

I'll be making a few copies for people to play with this christmas. Thanks again Chris.

from a distance of, say, four feet you can get it to work with both eyes open. a maintanance man here at work was just walking by and knew nothing of the dragon when he walked past and saw it and right away it followed him. he tripped out and had to have one right away. it also works extremely well for me with flourescent lighting. even from 1 foot away.

If you're fairly close to it, close one eye, focus on the dragon's eyes, and then after you're zoned in on the eyes, move around......it works.

    ^^ 1 foot tall?! That'd be awesome!

I can see it with both eyes open from a foot away if I just focus on the eyes.
