No last year SDA's were the most important thing around here. This year it seems to be tubes.

LOL.... well at least it's not another wire debate.

db, just went through the Showcase pics of the MD meet. Does look like I missed a good one.

Mike, yup... except for one of those ankle thingies, I'm free and clear. Wish I could take those last two tix off your hands... So you have some Carver tubes now?

Frank, Did a moose eat your showcase?
I just took a little time off to ride roller coasters, dodge a couple 'canes, and do some home repairs to facilitate a move a couple hundred miles further inland. Probably the only really productive thing I've done is to quit smoking. Will be 5 months tomorrow.... and the cravings are almost gone... ;)

Ted, No need for more than one pair of CA's... although two would be interesting... hummmmmmm..

HT, SDA's huh? That'll work. Nice to see a fellow buckeye hooked up...

Thanks all for the welcomes... I'll try to visit a little more often....

Props to you man! I've always said that for me to quit, I'd have to be locked in a rubber room for six months. Hmmmm... :p

Come on up in Feb. and join us. Chris is probably someone you're familiar with in the Houston area.

Congrats on those 5 months smoke free...I also quit....have not had one since labor day, that would be a bit over two months, and feel great...

Edit...and the whole two channel/SDA/Tubes thing is my "I quit smoking so I am allowed to spend that money in gear" present.....

    Well Bruce,

Within the last six months I sold all of my audio equipment, bought a new house, lived without audio equipment(barely-wife missed it just as much), started my own home theater sales/install business, got back into audio, and found out I'm going to be a father for the second time. We will have two in diapers. Oh, and I don't have any tubes OR SDA's....................Yet ;)

We've missed you here on the forum.

Good on ya to quit smoking.

Hope to see you around more.

Well...if it isn't a ghost from the past.... Last time I saw you, the Honda was headed North on I-40/I-81. I heard you made it to Mark's and then disappeared ! When I was at Casa Doro I checked out the closets for skeletons (none) and there didn't seem to be any fresh digging in the back yard, so I figured you made it out alive. You obviously survived Wilma icon14.gif.

Oh yeah....we have come to a consensus that wires do/don't matter. It was unanimous. Micah still blows in....stirs **** up....and then disappears (nothing new here).

Good deal on the smoking. 16 years after stopping cold turkey from a 3-pack-a-day habit....It is one of the best things I have ever done. If you think about starting back CALL ME! I'll talk you down!

Good to hear from you Bruce. Don't be a stranger.

Bruce, good to hear your jingles again. I am on my second attempt, as far as quitting. As you recalled, almost 2 years ago I managed to quit for 2 months. Now, it has been 89 days, 4 hours, 20 minutes, 16...17....18....and counting.

Hope Wilma didn't take away your hafler and its siblings. Are you still in the Houston's vicinity?

    don't be a stranger.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    Just to wrap this up...
Thanks, Cathy... it was just time to quit. I'd already put them down when the news on Peter Jennings came out.

Mike, some folks ears are just not a versatile as others... if it's got Bootsy, it's gotta be good.

BDT, Groove is in the heart, baby...

steve, I've got tubes... so I guess I can stay...

polka, yup... Hafler is still in da house, but the house be moving early next year. Gonna hide from the 'canes permanent style. Just keep reminding yourself that you are long clear of the physical adiction.

Jesse, I saw where the echoes of MJ were so strong that you had to move...

shack, come here you've got to hear this... I'll call if need be... or even if need not be.

willow, thanks, but sorry 'bout the Carter thing...

    doro, word...

Zach, well you have been busy haven't you... Congrats... again...
    More later,
