Polksters,

1. My move will happen early next week so here they are
SDA IIB with updated tweets, these are easily 7.5/8.0 on AG scale.
Interconnect cable included, local pickup only in NJ.
250.00. They sound amazing tweets broken in and speakers ready to go. Pictures to follow. Added incentive one of the old Sl2000 tweets included in price. The other one was blown when i got speakers. Added pictures checked speakers and they are really clean for price. Will put on Audigon by the weekend if no takers here. *****************************SOLD*************************

Sweet Jesus, somebody grab those up. Hell, the replacement tweeters alone are worth $100. Somebody should pick these up just to have a back-up pair of SDAs.

Dude, it's an excellent deal. Don't worry someone will wake up and smell the crosstalk cancellation soon. :D

At your price I'd buy them just to have another pair, but I'm in Indy and I don't have the time available to drive to Jersey to pick them up.

    CRj,

If you were closer, or if they were easier to ship, I'd take them, but It is a little too far to drive to NJ from here. The farthest east I'll be within the next 2 months is North Carolina, so I can't even have someone hold them for me.

Maybe the next pair will closer to me.

They survived fine cosmetically, but I had to change a couple of drivers...

I would not recommend shipping any size of SDA's. Faster made an outstanding job protecting and packing the 1B's, but two brand new drivers were damaged in the way (coils/magnets).

The drivers could be removed and sent in a seperate box. We're only talking about four in this pair.

    Polksters,

Thanks for the suggestion on shipping, but their are to many things that can go wrong with shipping these and I don't want the hassle if something does go wrong. That is why I priced them low because I thought they woul go fast. If not here then on the gon or god forbid e-pay. I have 4 pairs of SDA and can't take another one to the house. So I will leave these up here until Monday and see what happens, but after that I will figure something out maybe NY craiglist. It's all good

So - I have a Harman Kardon AVR 20II reciever for power - (but have a powered sub and only two surrounds) - I think it's 55 wpc continuous - would that be enough to run these? Wife and two kids so I don't really crank the tunes much anymore - mostly moderate listening levels and HT.

It will get you by until you can get a seperate amp to add to the preouts. It might even be enough if you don't listen to your music at extreme volumes. So what I'm trying to say is that the HK will be sufficient for low to moderate volumes, but in order to really make the SDAs sing, you will want to have about 200 high current wpc.

Come on and join the ranks of the SDA Club, you know you want to :D

Ditto... Low power does not mean you will not enjoy them, just means you will not bring out their full potential. Power is not all about volume levels, it's about control, clarity and dynamics.

Will add that since you said, "I don't really crank the tunes much anymore," you will have to exercise a little caution when you do cut loose.... and you know you will... ;)

    MrBuhl,

I have found that the SDA's are not a difficult speaker to drive, they are quite efficient if you ask me and some others around here. I have driven these with a B&K ST125.2, B&KAvr307, and a NAD350, with pretty much ease. I would think your amp would drive these find for what it seems your looking for. The money you save you can save up for more power. Again you will not be disappointed with these speakers.
